We have great plans for the future and are always looking for ways to improve Arcane Wilds. We are a small but experienced team and our planning is dynamic, therefore the Roadmap will change over time, but here is a sneak peek of what we are currently focusing on.

- Refine the mission game mode until it reaches its full potential.
- Achieve 3 playable factions for the missions
- Add more missions and side objectives
- Allow players to interact with friends on their home islands.
- Overhaul the current low-poly 3D models to a high-poly, detailed art style
- Improve sound effects and extend soundtrack
- Add more more in-game friend interactions through parties, chat and steam community features
- Extend modding capabilities

- Add natural essence consumers (unique in each biome) which grant some benefits
- Add subfactions derived from coop factions to competitive mode
- Experiment with triangulation based over grid based pathfinding
- Experiment with “walling with buildings” vs “units can pass between buildings (except walls)”
